New things are arriving at Alpaca Avenue....come on in for a visit:)
I love kids and children's books!! You may be familiar with the previous books by Joanna Johnson in this series and want to add this to your collection. The illustrator is Eric Johnson and the books are signed by both Joanna and Eric which makes them even more special I think!
Previous books include Phoebe's Sweater, Phoebe's Birthday and Freddie's Blanket, all with patterns included in each book. I have some for sale but if you can't get in to the shoppe, I encourage you to visit slatefallsknits on Etsy.
"This fourth knitting storybook from Slate Falls Press introduces a brand new character, Henry the chipmunk. While helping his family store up food for winter, Henry loses his favorite hand-knit hat. will he find it in time for winter's first snow? Join Henry as he visits the animals of his woodland neighborhood to follow the trail of the missing hat. Included at the end of the book are beautiful photographs and knitting patterns to make Henry's Hat, Henry's Letter Sweater and Henry Chipmunk for your little ones to enjoy."
I have had some lovely yarn bowls from two Ontario potters and they have gone to various new homes all across Canada! I am thrilled to introduce Anne Pryde of Nova Scotia and have a selection of her yarn bowls as well as a few of Tony and Natalie's left. They are practical and beautiful and make a wonderful gift for a knitting friend. Be sure to visit APrydePottery to see more of Anne's beautiful work!
