Reminders

I need a lot of reminders!! Life is busy and time seems to fly by....April is a month that I look forward to as Winter leaves and Spring arrives and with it a number of fibre related events that I really look forward to. They are all open to the public and would make a great outing. The store will be CLOSED on April 9, 23 and 30 as I will be attending these events, 2 of which I will be a vendor at and hope to see you there:)

This weekend is the Alpaca Ontario Spring Show in Orangeville. I love to see so many alpacas in one place and enjoy watching the judging and learning more about the wonderful fibre that these animals are raised for. It is great for meeting friends and making new connections.

The next exciting event is is The 50 Mile Coat Spinzilla on April 23-24 and a little bit of fibre from one of my alpacas, Lily, is going to be used in this project:) EHS is celebrating a 50th anniversary and creating a coat from fleece to finished coat in 3 weeks to commemorate this significant milestone. It is being housed at Neilson Park Creative Centre and more information is available at http://www.etobicokehandweaversandspinnersguild.com/

On April 30 the much anticipated Toronto Knitters Frolic arrives and I will be in booth K24 and look forward to a fun fibre filled day!! I will be bringing lots of farm yarns as well as introducing O-Wool Local, Alpaca Elegance by Green Mountain Spinnery and Suri yarns from Salt River Mills.

Li'lRed KettleHead hand dyed yarns will be back with some gorgeous colours and there will be pottery yarn bowls and other gift ideas for the fibre enthusiast.

Happy fibre adventures to all and hope to see you soon!
