Summer is here and it is time to get caught up on posts and projects! It has been busy and I was involved in two wonderful events this Spring. The 50 mile coat project celebrating Etobicoke Handweavers and Spinners 50th anniversary was a big success and well worth reading about here....http://www.etobicokehandweaversandspinnersguild.com/blog/
I was a vendor at The Toronto Knitters Frolic and with the help of a good friend and Indy dyer whose yarn I sell in my shop we had a wonderful booth and a very successful day. It is wonderful to meet people who are passionate about the same things as you are and brings a lot of joy!
Spring means that crias are being born on the farm. We discovered that Lily was pregnant which was not planned:) There was a "breakout" last Spring and although Lily gave birth to a white male, there was something wrong and it did not survive. Another baby has taken to nursing from her as well as her own mother which I think is cool.
Some of you know that I have 4 wonderful granddaughters and in September it will be 5!! My oldest son with his family is moving from Calgary to Sioux St Marie so they will be within driving distance:) My youngest son lives with his family very close to us and I have the wonderful joy of taking the 2 girls to school and daycare in the mornings. I treasure the times that I have as I have had a lot of long distance relationships in my life.
My husband has a tire storage business and I do some office work for him. We are really looking forward to a vacation in the Caribbean in July. I know that I will be knitting on the beach:) Where will you be knitting?
My Summer hours are posted on the main page and I recommend that you call or check the website in case there are any changes...I will keep it up to date.
Have a wonderful Summer and enjoys your times of relaxation and refreshment!
